UK State Pension increases for ALL ex. pats.

The purpose of this petition is to try and get a ridiculously stupid, unfair and discriminatory piece of UK State Pension legislation overturned. It discriminates against approx. 525,000 UK pensioners residing overseas in countries which do not have a special Social Security Agreement with UK. We overseas resident, UK ex. pats have paid our qualifying Class B, National Insurance contributions, exactly the same amounts paid as if we were resident in UK. In many cases, the contributions were paid whilst the pensioner was resident in UK, others may have been paid whilst resident overseas, (at an even greater cost, due to FOREX, etc). Inflation is a worldwide phenomenon, not just restricted to UK and EEA countries. As such, we have willingly paid all of the associated contribution increases that have been levied over the years. When the overseas resident contributor reaches SPA (state pension age), we want to see the same fairness, loyalty and willingness from the UK government to the ex. pat pensioners. At present, their UK state pension is calculated and "fixed" at the rate applicable at that time, never to be reviewed or increased again. The only exceptions to that is if they visit or return to reside in UK, an EEA or special agreement country. If only visiting the UK, the temporarily increased rate is immediately reduced back down to the "fixed" rate as determined upon commencement of receiving the state pension. Approximately 535,000 overseas pensioners do get the annual pension increases, if they happen to reside in a European Economic Area (EEA) country or country with a special UK agreement. Most of these countries do not even have historical or any other significant links with UK. Ironically, most of the countries were the pension increases are not paid, are British Commonwealth countries that do have long standing historical, trade and friendship links to the UK. If you are directly or indirectly affected now or in the future by this anomaly, or just like to see equality and justice done, please support this cause by signing this petition. Thanking you all in advance.
