Ultime Online: Renaissance

For many years now Ultima Online has been a major part of the gaming world. Ultima Online debuted in September of 1997 and has been changing ever since. It all started out as Felucca, then Trammel was added, then with Renaissance came the Lost Lands. Later on down the road, factions were implemented. A little while after factions came out, there was a new expansion, Lord Blackthorn's Revenge. This new expansion would signal the start of a wave of new changes to Ultima Online, and change the gameplay as we knew it. New items were added to the game, new lands were added, changes were made to the weapons system, and new skills were implemented. Not too long after this, Age of Shadows was introduced then again a new expansion was released, Samurai Empire. All of that then brings us to this current point in time, with the most recent expansion, Mondain's Legacy.

Most say that Ultima Online's downfall started with Lord Blackthorn's Revenge, and by Age of Shadows, many veterans of the game had quit. UO just isn't what it used to be, and today there are close to a thousand "freeshards" out there for people to play on. These shards encompass almost all time periods of Ultima Online. If you can think of the time period in UO, you can find a freeshard out there that matches it, except for one, that being Renaissance. Many people acknowledge that their favorite age of UO was Renaissance, a time that the game was most balanced and fun to play.

This all brings us to the heart of this petition. Many players are looking for a good renaissance shard with good skillgain. It is the hope of many that this petition may bring forth a new freeshard or EA shard that resembles the age of Renaissance and has quick skillgain.
