Unjust Hike in Registration fee by Garda National Immigration Bureau

Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB ) has effected a hike of 100% for registration for non-EU students and Researchers . The hike from the present 150€ to 300€ is unjustified and is going to hit the students in particular very hard.
The government should either roll back the unjust hike or should grant registration for the complete course duration mentioned in the university charter to the students like other European nations. Paying 300€ every year is especially difficult for student in the present economic situation which is prevailing across the world.
This hike in registration fees would severely impact the students and researchers and would lead to ireland becoming a unfavourable destination for prospective students and researchers.
