Wilberforce University 2004 Homecoming Party in "The Barn"

This petition is for the 2004 Homecoming Committee, staff, administration, alumni and students of Wilberforce University to have the "Hip Hop Party" of Homecoming 2004 at the Charles Leander Hill Gymnasium (affectionately known as "The Barn").
We understand that "The Barn" may not be up to standards but it is an intrical part of Wilberforce life. It was named for the 13th president of the university and it was used for sports, social events, and graduation ceremonies and later, replaced by the Alumni Multiplex, it continued to be used for social events. If you did not have a car your early years of attending the WU, you and a group of your friends walked on North Bickett Road to Route 42 to Brush Row Road. It was an expereience in itself! These are some of the best times if you ever ask any true Wilberforce student.
After the year of 2002 the place was not used anymore. Although there have been intramural basketball games and other events there have been no parties over the years. The years after "The Barn" was shut down the incoming classes really do not get that feel of a true WU college party and that is where it is at.
As in signing this petition we feel the right to have the "Hip Hop Party" on Homecoming 2004 weekend in "The Barn".
