WE (University of York Students) ARE GOLDEN
WE are more employable than the Universitys graduate data suggests.
WE organise successful activities that make us employable.
WE know that some academic departments offer good employability and careers support and opportunities, but many are letting us down.
WE want the University of York to CHANGE to provide:
1. A pro-active Careers Service that communicates to us, with the capacity for provide to all.
2. The highest standard of up-to-date careers advice and support on communicating achievement.
3. The highest standard of employability opportunities through the Careers Service.
4. An engaging and dynamic curriculum with a range of teaching and assessment methods that will develop the strengths of our students.
5. A wider variety of recruitment events on campus.
6. Better communication between the Careers Service, academic departments, YUSU and all students so we all know what our opportunities are.
7. Support for YUSUs activities that make us employable: space on campus, funding, championing our achievements to the wider community, quality assured accreditation, and development opportunities.
