A Petition to Save Our Student Cooperative Stables

The recently available Joint Proposal for the Ellwood-Devereux coast calls for removal of the West Campus stables, a University of California Santa Barbara student run cooperative. No reasons are given and the source and justification of this clause is not clear. Please do not let this happen!
The Horse Boarders Association works very hard to provide this recreational and educational resource with minimal environmental effect on the nearby wetlands, beaches, water quality and natural areas and strives to maintain some of the historic resources and uses of the West Campus as well. The improvements they have made to the stables area and their management in this regard are significant.
We support continuing the UCSB West Campus stables and the Horse Boarders program.
