A PLEA TO UPHOLD TAIWAN'S DEMOCRACY: A CALL FOR A SPEEDY RECOUNT

I am writing this petition because I am outraged by the blatant and shameless rape of Taiwan people's will and democracy by President, Mr. Chen Shui Bien. In the course of his presidency and throughout the 2004 election, we have all seen enough of his wanton one-man show. There comes a time when we have to say "Enough is enough!" We can no longer stand passively by and let a power-greedy politician slowly lead Taiwan to self destruction.
I have come to the conclusion that this is no longer a matter of taking political sides. Whether you support Kuo Ming Tang or the Democratic Progressive Party, it is ALL of our responsibility to fight for a fair and honest Presidential election in Taiwan. It is also ALL of our responsibility to fight for a public and speedy recount of the 2004 Presidential votes. Let us join together on the side of justice and democracy.
The enormous responsibility of securing our democracy in this Presidential
Election now rests in our hands. Please do not be lead astray by Mr. Chen
who have done everything he could and continue even today to confuse, misinform and manipulate his supporters and enemies. We must stay alert and assertive in these days of chaos. Do not be fooled. Mr. Chen is not the final authority of this Presidential election. We are. We have the capability and the resources to bring to reality a fair and accurate election. Do not go quiet. Join me today in signing this petition in plea of upholding Taiwans democracy. Call for a speedy RECOUNT!
