What exactly are the Aliens doing to Allie? Do Charlie and Lisa get together? Do they ever see thier kid again?

I loved the series ALOT!!!!!!....but I still have loads of questions....i mean they can't just let the girl go like that.......i felt so sad......even though i knew it wuz just a movie....i felt like i had lost a daughter as well......
