To All My Children:

All My Children has been apart of peoples afternoons for over 30 years and over thousands of episodes. Over the years millions of fans have enjoyed watching as the citizens of Pine Valley have lived through the happy, sad, confusing and crazy times. We, the fans, are loyal because we truly love this show and are invested in the lives of the wonderful characters.

In this letter of petition we want to focus specifically on two characters we hold dear to our hearts: Ryan Lavery and Kendall Hart. AMC has a truly unique commodity: the classic pairing of Ryan and Kendall. They have supercouple potential - in fact Soapnet named them AMC's hottest couple even though both were married to other people. Like Jackson and Erica, they have the potential to stand the test of time, to remain true to the love that they share. For many of us Ryan and Kendall's love is the epitome of love. It is the kind of thing we strive for and fantasize about. Their love is passionate, it is real, and it is heartfelt. They help us to believe that true love does exist and is achievable, possible.

Ryan and Kendall are more than a Soap Opera couple, they have the potential to be an AMC legend, - like Greg and Jenny, Jessie and ANgie, Cliff and Nina, Edmund and Maria, and Noah and Julia before. But better. We are asking that this potential legend be given roots again. Let Ryan and Kendall grow strong!!!

We want the characters of Ryan and Kendall to be true to themselves and each other. The Ryan and Kendall we fell in love with is not the Ryan and Kendall we have been seeing on our screens for the past year. We want to see the Ryan and Kendall who taught each other how to love and how live for each other. Ryan taught Kendall she was lovable and Kendall taught Ryan that after losing Gillian he was safe to love again and let go of his protective layers. Because of their backgrounds, they got one another like no couple before or since on AMC. We want to see the Ryan who loves his Kendall more than life itself and who treats her with respect, admiration, consideration, and sensitivity. We want to see the Kendall who loves her (affectionately called "six pack" and is loyal but also keeps her spunk alive. Ryan and Kendall need a storyline that celebrates the love and bond they share, not one that destroys it. This means getting away from the tired, worn out triangles and moving toward as storyline that does justice to Ryan and Kendall. This means staying true to Ryan and Kendall's history, not changing it for the sake of the storyline. The events of Ryan and Kendall's life are what make them the couple we love. By changing their history you are changing key elements that are Ryan and Kendall, it is a betrayal. Ryan is not an abuser and we take offence that he was shown as being such. The Ryan we love would comfort Kendall, not strike out at her in any fashion. We the fans are loyal and patient, but most of all we dont forget. We know our history and we know it well!! Of course the occasional, minor change of history we can over look. But when history is changed too drastically, unclearly, and unbelievably we cant ignore and cant help but feel insulted and betrayed. That being said we fans can be forgiving and are willing to forgive recent history (for lack of a better word) adjustments, IF we are given our Ryan and Kendallback.

We have been given some wonderful Ryan and Kendall moments, scenes, and storylines throughout the years and appreciate each and every one of them. We would like more great Ryan and Kendall scenes to be seen more often. Periodic makeups in the midst of almost constant conflict and turmoil is not enough to keep us satisfied. We need Ryan and Kendall to be reunited and for their commitment to be strong. If a shift in this direction is made then we believe Ryan and Kendall's relationship can be saved.

Please consider our plea, and give us what we want, what we know you, the good people of our favorite daytime drama All My Children are capable of, give us Ryan and Kendall!!!!!!
