An Animal Killer At An Animal Shelter In Indiana

On January 15, 2004 the Director of Lake County Animal Control in Indiana, who is Michael A. Thill, euthanised seven adoptable dogs against the directions of the center's administration. Michael Thill was specifically told not to euthanise any animals unless he had specific directions to from his superiors, and yet directly following, he went to the Animal Control Center and euthanised seven dogs. Each of the dogs were very adoptable; none had any diseases, sicknesses, or disabilities, and none of the seven were mean in any way. One of the dogs, named Cookie, was even featured on Lake County Animal Control's Website as the dog of the week. Another of the seven dogs was a puppy that had just been brought in that day, and was very friendly. Michael Thill wanted to be the administrator of the center, and because he couldn't be, he deliberatly disobeyed order by his superior and killed seven innocent dogs. He did this out of spite, which shows that he doesn't care about animals. Therefore, Michael A. Thill should not be working with animals. This isn't the first time Michael Thill has been cruel to animals though. Under his direction, one of his employees placed numerous cats into a bag to be stuck with a needle full of euthanasia so that the employee didn't have to "waste her time" euthanising each individual cat. What we want is for Michael A. Thill to be fired from Lake County Animal Control, since he obviously has a reckless disregard for animal's lives. We hope that you will join us in this petition, and if you do, please sign it and pass it on to others who will support us. We want to send this petition to the Sheriff of Lake County, so that he will see how uncaring Michael A. Thill is about animals. We believe that anyone who cares about animals, and even anyone who has a dog as a part of their family will be outraged by what this monster did. The Animal Control Center is not to blame, because one of the new employees and a few other older employees are trying to make it into a rescue shelter, so please don't stop adopting animals from the shelter.
