An Emmy for Our "President" Martin Sheen as Jed Bartlett

Martin Sheen has portrayed The West Wing's President Josiah Bartlett for six years now, and although nominated, has never one a Best Actor Emmy for that role. We, the undersigned think it's time and far past time for this incredibly gifted actor, this hardworking and devoted artist to get the recognition he has already earned in this role, and in so many others. As 'Jed' Bartlett this sixth season, Mr. Sheen has excelled even his own prior performances, showing us a man struggling with the last year of his Presidency, and fighting the onset of his relapsing/remitting Multiple Sclerosis. He has always been one of those actors who command every scene he's in, and this year he has been amazing to watch. Please give due consideration at last to nominating Martin Sheen in his sixth year of The West Wing, and voting for him to get the Television Academy's highest acting honor, a Best Actor Emmy.
