We, the undersigned, wish to petition the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, through its ministry of Foreign Affairs and its Embassy in Nairobi, NOT to grant nor facilitate entry to the Netherlands, of any Kenyan politicians and Members of Parliament or any other public official or leader, for the purposes of escorting, supporting or otherwise associating with the persons named by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague, unless their presence in the Netherlands is deemed necessary for the purposes of the situation on Kenya as is currently before the court in the Hague.

We have been compelled to take this action in light of the illegal, immoral and abhorent conduct of the politicians and public officials during their visit to the Netherlands in the week of 4th to 10th April 2011 during which they:

1. Engaged in unlawful, immoral and repugnant acts of bribery and other material inducement in order to obtain support for their cause in favour of pulling Kenya out of the Rome Statute of the ICC and/or eliciting public support for the suspects of crimes against humanity.
2. Threatened and intimidated Kenyan citizens resident in the Netherlands and Dutch citizens of Kenyan origin who declined to be bribed and/or stood in opposition to the interests of the Kenyan politicians. These individuals were physically and by telephone warned against engaging in activities contrary to the wishes of the politicians with direct and indirect threats of unspecified consequences should they fail to heed the warnings.
3. Exported and propagated ethnic chauvinism, animosity, discord and fuelling potential ethnic division and conflict among Kenyans resident in the Netherlands. As the Kenyan community in the Netherlands, we have worked tirelessly to rebuild mutual trust, confidence and harmony following the deep social wounds inflicted by the 2007 post election violence. It goes against the stated interests of the Dutch government in its integration and citizenship policies to allow such foreign individuals to sow discord among peace-loving Kenyans in the Netherlands.
4. Engaged in wasteful spending of Kenyas public resources at the expense of hard-working Kenyan citizens and Tax-payers whos majority continue to live in abject poverty and unable to meet the basic essentials of life; as well as showing disregard for the plight of families and survivors of the 2007 Post Election Violence and IDPs who have not been compensated nor resettled more than three years after their violent displacement.

For these and other reasons of Justice, integrity and moral and accountable leadership, in relation to the politicization of the ICC process, we ask the Dutch government to stand on the side of the people of Kenya and BAN KENYAN POLITICIANS AND PUBLIC OFFICALS FROM ENETRING THE NETHERLANDS.
