The Da Vinci Code denigrates the Christian faith and questions the divinity of its founder, Jesus Christ. It spreads a false message that undermines the very bedrock of Christianity. By presenting inaccurate information as facts, the movie has the potential to mislead people of other religions about the Christian faith. The National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS), which represents the mainline Christian denominations in Singapore, has also called for a ban on the movie.

In addition, by allowing the screening of such a movie, the Singapore Board of Film Censors will potentially be opening the floodgates to the screening of other religiously contentious films.

This petition thus requests for the Singapore Board of Film Censors to ban the screening of the Da Vinci Code movie in Singapore.
