BST or posilac has been approved for use in the United states and is being injected into dairy cattle all over the country. There has been studies that report that BST increases IGF-1 levels, which lead to uncontrolled cell division. This can lead to higher risk of cancer. Alot op people are not even aware of its mass use among the dairy industry. We need to have this hormone put back before the FDA. In 1994 there was a policy put into place that a producer could not label their product BST free, the Deputy Commissioner in Policy was Micheal Taylor, an former lawyer of the Monsanto Company, the producers of the engineered BST. After the labeling policy was put into place Taylor returned to work for Monsanto. Consumers need to have this product go before the FDA when there is not a person in a key position making decisions, that has the best interest of Monsanto in mind.
