Bring Back Bazooka

Dear Topps,







Over the course of the past decade, sports cards have changed dramatically in target demographic. What was once a hobby that could be enjoyed by people of all ages has slowly shifted towards targeting adults who can afford to spend more money on fewer cards. Single packs can cost well over $20, and each year more and more products go up in price in order to offer better odds of finding game used or autographed cards.







We fully commend you for not releasing as many obscenely high priced products as Upper Deck. It does not go unnoticed, and it is the first step towards bringing back the slowly disappearing joy of collecting sports cards simply for the sake of collecting. We must, however, ask more of you.







We want Topps Bazooka brought back.







Bazooka was in many ways the perfect product. First and foremost, it appealed to all ages. It was inexpensive enough to allow young children to afford it, but contained enough desirable inserts to appeal to more veteran collectors. It contained elements of your old products, giving it a retro feel, but not so much that it seemed a halfhearted knockoff.







Please, Topps. You are already doing the right thing by staying true to the spirit of collecting sports cards. Now go the extra mile. Bring back Bazooka. Bring it back for basketball, baseball, and football.
