Bring back the development of Brad Bird's The Spirit

Sometime in the past, there was a comic book called The Spirit. A cartoonist by the name of Will Einser created it, and it is his most well known work in the comic industry. The comic took each different type of story genre and made it rather entertaining. When it came to adapting the comic into a feature length movie, there was trouble regarding on the matter. One of the attempts was an animated film adaptation of the comic. Around in the 1980s, Writer/producer Steven Paul Leiva found an animated clip of The Spirit. Impressed by the matter, he wanted to know who was in charge for this. And it turned out that a few students who went to Calarts made this. One of them was a man by the name of Brad Bird(The Iron giant, The Incredibles, Ratatouie). Bird directed this sequence and produced it with a few former students from Calarts.

When it came to getting the rights to The Spirit, they got and it was underway. However there was a downside to that. When the script was made (which was written by Brad Bird himself) and was brought into Hollywood, nothing came out of it. Hollywood liked the script, but however they believed that it wouldnt work as an animated feature over live-action. This adaptation was canceled. This took place in the 1981, when animation fans believed that animation was not in its best place so far. 17 years later after this, a live-action movie of The Spirit was made. Graphic novel cartoonist Frank Miller, who had been known for creating Sin City, directed it. This movie didnt do so well. Critics hated it, and even the fans of the comic were not impressed on what Frank Miller has done. Seeing that DC has an animation studio for making animated films based on its comics, we would ask of you to bring on production of a 2D hand-drawn animated film of The Spirit. The Spirit can be told better for animation, and Brad Bird wanted it done that way. So please bring on production on Brad Birds proposed animated film of the Spirit. Not only make it hand-drawn animated with actual voice actors, get it released for a world wide theatrical release. This is too good to be made for a direct to DVD market. If you bring this back DC, please keep Frank Miller away from this at all costs. Fans of The Spirit know that Millers adaptation of the comic was a complete failure, but Brad Birds adaptation will be good. Just give him full creative power for it. Some people are aware that Will Eisners family owns the rights to The Spirit character (although some of the DC comics make references to the character). So please work something out between DC animation and Will Eisners family. So we can get this proposed animated feature off the ground.
