Bring Back the "Old" Facebook.com

We, the people of Facebook, respectfully ask the administrators and programmers of www.facebook.com to discard the new site layout in favor of the traditional design that was used up until September 5, 2006. While the newly-added "news feed" and "mini-feed" features may be good ideas in concept, when applied, they add a "too close for comfort" feeling to Facebook.

It is completely and utterly unnecessary to know when a friend or acquaintance has changed their favorite music listings, began having relationship troubles, added a new friend, or when and where they will be attending a social gathering. In addition to being needless, the new features border on being an invasion of privacy and possess a creepy, stalker-ish quality. We strongly urge those in a position of authority to listen to the wants and needs of the site members and reconsider the new site layout. As the old cliches go, "if it's not broken, don't fix it" and "newer is not always better". In the case of Facebook.com, we believe both of these quotations to hold true.
