On July 2005 Shaun was sold to Chelsea for 21 million due to City in finance trouble.
Reports coming out of Stamford Bridge suggest Chelsea are having a major clear out and on that list is the Manchester City youth Academy prodigy Shaun Wright-Phillips which means hell have to re-think his football future, FA Cup winners Portsmouth has reportedly shown an interest in signing the 26-year-old winger but that remains to be seen.
Now that Brazilian ace Ronaldinho has slapped City in the face and signed for AC Milan, Blues fans are eager to capture the delights only SWP can achieve.
We the City faithful undersigned petition to Manchester City Football Club to invest in bringing Shaun Wright-Phillips back to the club where it wouldnt only be good for the teams point of view, giving us a good balance on the right wing, it would fill the stadium (bringing money to the club), which would be good for a business point of view. Also the fans and the spirit would be electric!
Will those in charge of City owner Thaksin Shinawatra's financial purse allow Mark Hughes to make a bid for the one and only Shaun Wright-Phillips?
We want to try convince Shaun to come back to Manchester City, I know even if Shaun wants to come its the manager Mark Hughes decision to sign him but I dont see why he would reject him because hes got everything that we need for a right winger and we have loads of faith in him, we believe Shaun can return to his best!
