Maidstone United welcomes Maidstone Borough Council's decision to fund the redevelopment of Maidstone's High Street.
However, we believe that this provides an additional opportunity for the Council to show support for Maidstone's football club by directing a portion of this funding towards the club's efforts to relocate back to the town after an absence of twenty years.
We would like to ask the Council to fund the building of the ground at Whatman Way and then charge the club a nominal fee each year for use of the facility.
