Car Enthusiasts Vs Banning Modified Cars

Once again the car enthusiasts of Ireland are being branded with the same brush as Boy Racers, but this time the Government have planned to take it one step further by what they have quoted :
" The Government is reportedly planning to outlaw car modifications that are much-loved by so-called "boy racers".
Reports this morning said Junior Transport Minister Ivor Callely was planning to ban modifactions like tinted windows and put a cap on engine noise as part of a reform of the National Car Test.
Under his plans, cars will fail the test from next January if they are found to contain unauthorised modifications or if their engine noise exceeds the legal limit. "
Now I have read alot of replys on many of the Irish Car Forums from both young and Old about "this will never happen" and its only about the windows and exhausts but it is not. They have stated clearly in the above statement that any unauthorised modification will be illegal.
Larger Alloys, I.C.E, Body Kits, Suspension setup, Exhaust and everything we take pride in and put the money which most put on drink and drugs into our cars.
This Petition is being set up for the first wave of action which we the Car Enthusiasts plan to take in the first step for standing up for our freedom and our rights to spend our money on that we have earned
