Close the Flight School at the Qualicum Beach Airport

This petition concerns the ongoing noise nuisance from aircraft pilot training that is affecting Oceanside, including Bowser, Coombs, French Creek, Errington, Nanoose, Parksville, Qualicum Beach, and nearby areas.

Teaching pilot trainees how to fly and stall their airplanes over residential areas is dangerous. Moreover, the noise of airplanes circling overhead is annoying. And the noise of student pilots making frequent takeoffs and landings at the airport is also annoying.

The existing aircraft flight school adds very little to our local economy, and benefits very few people. Yet the flight schools operations disturb and endanger residents of the entire Oceanside area. Moreover, their numerous overhead flights pollute our air.

Since there is no law to control where pilot training takes place, the school is able to continue its noisy, dangerous training maneuvers over residential areas with complete disregard for those living below. The only way to end this dangerous nuisance is to cancel the schools lease at the Qualicum Beach Airport.

Please do not allow any aircraft flight schools to operate from the Qualicum Beach Airport.
