Community Investment at American University

We, the undersigned members of the American University community, believe that as a private university with a public responsibility, the financial practices of our university need to be consistent with our mission and commitment to social responsibility. We should create lasting local change by moving our money to community development financial institutions where it can benefit underserved communities in DC. Transforming our ideas into action and action into service begins with our own involvement and investments.
