For the past several years, residents around Bensville/Daley's Point/Empire Bay/Umina have had to deal with brown water frequently coming out of their taps. The quality of our tap water is unacceptable. Residents and their families (many of who have elderly, sick and young children in their households) are suffering from regular bouts of gasto after unknowingly consuming the water. Countless complaints have been made, yet Council only sends workers out to open the mains for a temporary fix; within a week, the brown water returns.
The residents of these areas DEMAND that council investigate the issue thoroughly and put in place a PERMANENT solution.
