Demand That Compulsory Auto Insurance in Ontario be Public Not Private

Auto insurance premiums in Ontario are at an unacceptable and often unaffordable level. The Insurance companies are profiting from a mandatory coverage that should be a non-profit obligation. Other provinces that have public insurance [Government-run] benefit drivers by supplying affordable rates.
Lies and disinformation lead some to believe that insurance companies do not profit from auto insurance premiums. They use terms like "losing money" when defending their rates. "Losing money" can be used to mean "losing profits" not to mean "making no profit" like they imply.
If auto insurance companies were in fact not making any profits there is no way they would wish to continue this business. They are outright lying to us all.
The Government of Ontario has either been influenced financially by these businesses or lied-to to force the Government to continue this debilitating practice.
The Government of Ontario must - immediately - legislate public auto insurance and immediately end the ridiculous privately run, administered and policed auto insurance cartel in Ontario.
