Discount Cellular Data in Canada

GPRS, EVDO, EGDE, and 1X data rates in Canada are too expensive compared to the rates in other countries:

Examples (rates are for the average consumer not on a Data Rate Plan)(Non-Canadian rates converted to CAD as per the xe.com exchange rate on March 22, 2006):
CANADA
Rogers: 5 cents per KB (Prepaid Rate - Monthly Rate Unavailable)
Fido: 3 cents per KB
Telus: 5 cents per page
USA
Cingular: 1.16677 cents per KB
Virgin: .233325 cents per KB
UK
Orange: 0.059621823 cents per KB

We, the Undersigned, use cellular services within Canada and find that the rates, when compared, are extremely expensive and unaffordable for the average consumer. We demand from Canada's telecommunications companies which offer cellular services lower rates for service.
