District 202 Cheerleading Petition

In District 202, or Plainfield, wants to change the set up of cheerleading.
Long story short; All who try out shall be on the cheerleading squad during football season. There will be no uniforms for those who participate in the football season of cheerleader. There shall be another tryout for basketball season, those who make it shall not go to away games and only home games. Those who make it will also be the only ones who attend camp the next year. This includes the fact that those who graduate will not be at camp and freshmen will also not be able to attend.
In my opinion, the state of Illinois is making a joke of the now recognized sport of cheerleading. When forty girls try out and decide that stunting is a good idea, I shall not be the one who will injure a first time flyer. Also, who would take on the part of coaching when attempting to coordinate twenty five girls is already a challenge?

thats crazy. 60 girls on one squad??? its hard enough to control the average squad wiht 12-15. plus cheerleading isint just some thing that girls do to look cool. its a REAL sport, that you have to put alot of hard work into. haing been a cheerleader for

I have a grilfriend on the cheerleading squad and i know how much cheerleading really means to her. She comes home with bumps, cuts and bruises all the time i seriously dont think that all girls could handle cheerleading with out any experiance.

i am not a cheerleader anymore but I think that cheerleading is difficult and not every girl can do it. Cheerleading is not a club its a sport so it should be treated like one!
