Thanks to GOP Senators Arlen Specter, Susan Collins & Olympia Snowe, the federal government has passed a bill enabling them to devour approximately one trillion dollars of our future wages. That is only the beginning as Barack Obama is just weeks into his unchecked, unbalanced presidency.
These Senators have brought dishonor to our party and we can no longer afford to allow them to hide behind the Republican banner. We would be better off taking the "risk" of losing their seats to the Democrats as their presence has already caused many in our conservative base to leave in disgust.
Indeed we can be a "big tent" party. Big tent SHOULD mean that we welcome the SUPPORT of all and that we will give those with liberal propensities ASYLUM in our party if they find more common ground with us. Big tent DOESN'T mean that we should allow liberals to RUN our party nor should they be able to undermine our platform and fundamental principles by holding office under our name.
Tolerating the left winged propensities has caused us to lose many more seats nationwide, than we could ever gain by their membership. Help to primary these Senators out of office.
Lynn Swann is a well known, conservative Pennsylvanian who could be a good potential replacement for Senator Arlen Specter as Specter is up for re-election in 2010. The right thing to do for his own good and ours would be for Specter to announce his retirement. If he does seek re-election, I believe Swann would defeat Specter with relative ease and would be a strong candidate in the general election.
