Dragon Quest IV and V Localization

We, as fellow video gamers, are in demand of two games which have but long since denied to us. Enix, now known together with Squaresoft as Square-Enix, created the popular game series "Dragon Quest" (also known as "Dragon Warrior" in North America). There has been, however, a major issue with the franchise.

The sales of the Dragon Quest franchise in both North America and Europe have received little attention. Dragon Quest V (5) and Dragon Quest VI (6), along with multiple other side games, never reached American shores, and only Dragon Quest VIII (8) has been released in Europe. Despite these facts, recent remakes of two of the Dragon Quest games were released in Japan; however, they were never released outside of the country.

This petition requests that both remakes--Dragon Quest IV (4) for Sony's PlayStation (PS1) and Dragon Quest V for Sony's PlayStation 2 (PS2)--are to be released to North American and European fans. Dragon Quest IV should be transferred to the PS2 due to being on an outdated system, with enhancements to improve the quality of the game play.

Furthermore, for Square-Enix to deny such a request would prove to be wasteful. With the proof of the petition, the localization for both Dragon Quest IV and V would profit. Also, the Dragon Quest fan base in Europe would be able to build, thus allowing future games to sell better.

For the fans of a popular series which has received little recognition outside of Japan, we deserve as much as to get a chance to play such wonderful games. Those who sign should present he or she's full name and state which country he or she lives in, in order to validate that the signatures are, in fact, real. Also, do not sign if you do not intend to purchase a copy of the Dragon Quest IV and V remakes, since it would not prove a purpose.
