Equal opportunities for Deaf children in Wawickshire

We the undersigned would like the council to reverse its decision to cut funding for Teachers of the Deaf throughout the education system.
There are over 300 deaf children in Wariwckshire, and even with assistance only a quarter of children make an a-c grade at gcse level. This shows that where the council have made cuts, it seems clear their should have been more investment.
We oftern see the slogan "equal opportunities" thrown about as positive slogans for the council, however it seems in this case the council either do not care about children, or have been forced by government to make this cut, how anyone could justify this decision is questionable.
Having a child with a disability is a challenge in itself having to fight for what your child is entitled to is something parents of deaf children have had to learn to deal with, the very fact that the biggest support to Deaf families is a charity speaks volumes about the commitment by our government.
Happy to spend out on diagnoses equipment, but not happy to help with a solution, we want our children to have the equal opportunity they deserve.
