On its 146th birthday and with the current economic crisis, it is time for West Virginia and Virginia to reunify. I urge Senators Byrd, Rockefeller, Webb and Warner request Judge Sotomayors opinion as to whether Virginia v. West Virginia, 78 U.S. 39 (1870) should be overturned as a condition of confirmation.
