Leander High School recently stocked its campus with brand new Dell PC's. Our problem at the moment is that Internet Explorer 6.x is the only web browser students may use, since the installation of other programs is strictly forbidden. IE6, as anyone with a fair amount of web browser know-how will tell you, is closed source, full of security holes, and overall is a poor browser.
Firefox, on the other hand, is open source (meaning anyone can look at the code and point out any security holes), secure, fast, and had tabbed browsing long before IE7 did.
So, in conclusion, do us a favor and install Firefox on all the computers on campus. With God as our witness, you won't regret it.
