Gear Check Rule 10.13

The April State Council Meeting discussed the rule regarding wearing of Competitor numbers. Some members of the council feel it should be changed back to read that riders no longer have the choice as to what competition numbers they wear, with the exception of cross country. This rule was developed at the request of the riders during the survey conducted a few years ago who overwhelmingly suggested that they wanted to have a choice to use saddle or bridle numbers.
I am interested in representing the views of riders so ask that you respond to this email.
You have two choices either click the Yes button above if you agree with the current rule ( 10.13) or the No button above if you would like to revert to the old rule where you have no choice. The buttons are situated on the bottom tool bar line.
Your vote will be presented to the June State Council Meeting.
Please forward this email onto all pony club riders and members.
The Current rule reads
Gear check Rule 10.13 - Competiton Numbers
Not all competitions require competitor
numbers.
When required, competitor numbers must
be fully visible at all times while mounted,
under penalty of elimination.
Competitor numbers must be displayed by
one of the following methods:
Body number: on both the competitors
chest and back for cross-country
Bridle: on both the left and right side of
the bridle
Saddle cloth: on both the left and right
side of the saddlecloth.
The organising committee must specify in
the schedule of entry conditions what
numbers, if any, will be supplied by the
organising committee or what numbers
must be supplied by the competitor.
