Georgia Residents Help Us Stop Toxic Waste From Coming Into Our County

PROBLEM:
We have elected and supported our County Commissioners in their endeavors to help Ware County but we do not support what they are wanting to do now and that is to potentially cause health, enviromental, financial and other issues if not for us now but for future generations to come. The problem is they voted in the use of our Tri County Landfill for the dumping of fly ash and demolition debris brought in from other states. After some research on fly ash and the types of compounds it contains (such as arsenic, cadium, nickel and more) many citizens of Ware County have become concerned with our aquifer system, state parks, as well as other things and decided that this would not be a good thing to take a chance with. Problem is the County Commission will not listen to the people on this matter and are pushing forward for it. We do realize there will be what they call a liner to dump this toxic stuff in but after reasearch on these liners it was found that all liners leak to some degree from the manufacturing itself or will begin to leak over time. No ands, if, or buts about it. Anything man made over time will not stand up to mother nature so just imagine large concentrations of this stuff leaking in one spot. We do not want our land and water system to become toxic and we do not want our future generations to pay the price for cleaning up this mess when it becomes a super fund site. We also do not want our children dealing with the potential risks of cancer, breathing problems, birth defects as well as other problems this may cause them. If you are skeptical please take the time to look up fly ash and it's contents, the contents of demolition debris, landfill liners and their failure rate and feel free to check out www.gfredlee.com and read his credintials since we have contacted him several times about the matter.
