WE, the undersigned, wish to express our concern over the CouncilХs proposed ФStanford Area BХ residentХs parking scheme and the inevitable displacement on to Benett Drive, Shirley Avenue and Benett Avenue which lie just outside of the proposed scheme.
WE HEREBY PETITION Brighton & Hove City Council to introduce a Фlight touchХ scheme identical to that in place on Hove Park Road for the western half of Benett Drive, Shirley Avenue and Benett Avenue. This involves single yellow lines along each road with signs prohibiting parking on Mondays to Fridays only between 9am-10am on one side of the road and between 1pm-2pm on the other side. These restrictions, we believe, will stop City Park staff from parking along these roads during the working week. We do not want a full residents parking scheme like the one planned for Stanford Area B.
