Hire Back Essa Rios

Essa Rios was easily one of the most talented, exciting, and fun-to-watch young superstars in the WWF, always garnering big pops when he entered for his matches. Yet, despite Jim Ross' repeated assertions in the Ross Report week in, week out that the WWF needs to push its lightheavyweight division, they took the belt off this dynamic young superstar after only a month, giving it to Dean Malenko to hold for just about a year, effectively killing it off. Essa was seriously under-utilised, being kept on Metal and Heat, yet he still managed to have some great matches, managing to take what would seem like a shambles, and turn it into a memorable match. The one time the WWF did use him in an stoyryline, that being his Mini-angle with Kurt Angle, it was very entertaining, and proved his talent and ability even more, being a bright spot in an otherwise dull title run for angle. He always gave the fans entertainment, whilst other superstars with more exposure were content to beat their opponents into a near-concussed state, Essa would allow these "jobbers" to get in some offence, and no matter how lowly the match, he would give the fans something to cheer, even performing somersault planchas over the turnbuckle. It is ridiculous that the WWF would give serious TV time to some boring workers well past their prime, while Essa was released. With it now being rumoured that the WWF plans to give its Cruiserweight division a serious push after the planned Roster Split, we, as fans of good wrestling must see to it that Essa Rios is brought back into the WWF, to be where he deserves to be, at the pinnacle of the Cruiserweight division, and wrestling regularly on one of the flagship shows, whether it be RAW or Smackdown!. The WWF would greatly benefit from his presence.
