We, the undersigned, hereby request that the Legislature of the State of Tennessee reintroduce, and then successfully pass, a resolution honoring Millington, Tennessee native Justin Timberlake for his achievements in the world of popular music.

We feel that the decision of Senator Raymond Finney of Maryville to remove the resolution originally drafted by Senator Ophelia Ford was wrong and motivated by a personal vendetta against Mr. Timberlake's work, including the current hit album "FutureSex/LoveSounds" and his past singles "Rock Your Body" and "SexyBack."

We believe that Mr. Finney is using a personal dislike of titles that he believes to be "suggestive" to attempt to discredit Justin Timberlake in an unfair manner. If Mr. Finney "do(es) not want his (my) name on" the resolution, then we suggest that he vote "No" when the resolution comes to a vote in the Tennessee Senate.
