To the kind people of the Humane Society of Boulder Valley,
Because I know how much you abhor animal cruelty in all its facets, Im asking you to join the leading humane organizations already endorsing Nonviolence and Animal-Friendly foods. By re-adopting compassion for all animals, youll be taking a stand against animal cruelty by refusing to allow your organization to promote it through support of factory farms and slaughterhouses.
While most of us can relate more easily to dogs and cats than farmed animals, that doesnt mean the animals we eat dont feel pain just as dogs, cats, or even humans do. In fact, farmed animals have very acute pain sensors as well as individual personalities and preferences, much like dogs and cats, and the abuse they are forced to endure would be illegal in all 50 states if inflicted on dogs and cats. All animals, whether loved by humans or not, care about their lives just as much as I care about mine and you care about yours.
Please join the Nonviolence movement, commit to Food For Thought and only serve Animal-Friendly/Vegetarian food at your sponsored events. Please also put compassion back into your mission statement and support the efforts of kind people everywhere working to end all animal cruelty once and for all.

Why delete a word such as "compassion" from your mission statement? Please put the compassion back in all of the decisions you make. After all, you are a "humane" society not an "inhumane" society. Compassion ,yes. Kindness, yes.

why do you think only cats and dogs are the animals worth saving??!!!! Pigs and cows have been shown to be smarter than cats and dogs--how do you rate an animal to be worth saving!!! I am stopping our donations to the Humane Society until you can stop fee
