We, the undersigned, wish to make it known that there is significant opposition to the proposed elimination of the Student Senate Environment Committee at Southern Methodist University. The Committee has achieved much success in raising environmental awareness, establishing several recycling programs, forming a partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency, and initiating eco-friendly policies. We ask that the Student Senate vote against the legislation authored by the members of its Research and Recommendation Committee.
