Increment in Singapore Government Haiti Relief Efforts

The earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12 has saddened and shocked individuals worldwide. We Singaporeans have not been spared by daily harrowing reports of the dire situation that seems to be escalating with desperate corruption.
For an economically developed and a highly progressive, industrialized and capitalistic nation, The Singapore Government's donation of USD50, 000 to the international community's humanitarian relief efforts for Haiti is a meager effort.
With all due respect and urgency, we, the undersigned, hereby request The Singapore Government to immediately make an additional contribution of USD1 million (or more), to deploy food, medical and sanitation supplies, and armed forces to assist in Haiti's humanitarian relief.
We hope that The Singapore Government would consider our appeal of hope to maintain a sense of empathy and decorum for unfortunate victims in Haiti. Thank you.
