India should invest in research for cultured meat (meat substitute)

Millions of animals and birds are killed for food every day. They are subjected to inhuman torture before killed. Animal farms and chicken farms treat living beings as meat, whereas these animals and birds are sentient beings just like us. They have all emotions that we have. They love their kids and bring up kids just like human mothers. Just because they are not able to verbally communicate with us should not be used as an excuse to kill them and eat them.
Cultured meat avoids killing of animals in order to create meat. Stem cells from animals and birds are cultured in the laboratory (and in the factories in future) and the cells grow up as meat. This meat could be standardized and is free from pathogens and therefore they are not only non-violent but also healthy. Research is in advanced stage in some western countries already. India should invest and set up research facilities and set up task force to develop cultured meat. In the long run this will not only ensure food security but also promote non-violence in the world
