Jerusalem for England

Since early on in the nineteenth century England has claimed "God Save the Queen/King" as it's national anthem yet other British countries have their own patriotic songs. It is the purpose of this petition to encourage the installation of "Jerusalem" as England's anthem to be used at all major events sporting or otherwise. The English people deserve an anthem representative of their nation just as Scotland has chosen "Flower of Scotland", Wales uses "Land of My Fathers" and Ireland has long used "The Soldier's Songs".

The Anthem Campaign does not dispute the use of "God Save the Queen/King" as Britain's anthem but believes England should have it's own individual anthem.
