The Campaign for Haresh Sood aims to:
• Stop racism in our schools and education system by contacting and liaising with everyone concerned with education – parents, school children, teachers, governors, policy drivers, council officers, politicians, academics, student & trade unions, community organisations etc – to ensure that this case is heard and answered
• Support Haresh Sood in his legal actions
• Make representations to Haresh Sood’s trade union, the NASUWT, to support his case properly and professionally
• Seek a review of the harassment and safe guarding policies and procedures currently adopted by the school and the County Council
• Seek a review of Section 38 of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 to ensure faith bodies investigate racist incidents
• Have an independent inquiry into the case to ensure similar experiences are not repeated in schools.
