Legalise Hemp Foods in Australia and New Zealand

We believe that the use of hemp seed and its by-products should be legal for human consumption in Australia and New Zealand.

We understand that this non-psychoactive hemp seed is used throughout the world (including USA, Germany, UK, Europe etc.) in products such as Hemp Bread, Hemp Oil, Dairy Free Hemp Ice-Cream, Hemp Chocolate Snack bars and more.

We know that the Australian and New Zealand Food Authority (ANZFA) spent approximately four years reviewing an application for recommendation to you, the Ministers. We understand that ANZFA finally recommended that hemp seed be allowed as a human food.

We now ask you to review and support a new application to FSANZ (previously ANZDA) by the same applicants. This new application is made with the understanding that all issues pertaining to the original application have been met and that the Australian public deserve to use hemp as food and gain the nutritional benefits thereof
