LET SALEM GECZI STAY IN SCHOOL

Calgary Arts Academy wants to kick out Salem Geczi because she cerebral palsy. The Province has provided $17,000 in EXTRA funding to help support this beautiful while she gets an education. The Superintendant has written the family and coldly stated that if she continued at the school she would no longer recieve the extras she needs, and will only get the level of "service" provided to other students.
It seems that the Alberta of Education had to "firmly" remind Calgary Arts Academy that special needs students, must stay the full year, once enrolled. Salem is safe until at least next June.
EVERY child has a right to learn. NO child should EVER be turned down an eductaion because of a medical condition. Salem's parents hope to keep her enrolled in this school until grade 9. With the Alberta government saying that special education funding is not in jeopardy of being cut back. There is a $17,000 (provincally funded) full-time aide for her. There is enough money coming to the school that the super intendent got a stellar rise, yet nothing to give this child the education and future she deserves?
We are in a time of EQUALITY!! Lets support Salem Geczi and her equality!! Sign our petition and lets tell the Calgary Arts Academy WE WILL NOT STAND FOR YOUR INEQUALITY!!
