MAKE HISTORY IN MEXICO
El Pobre de Asis is a bi-national and non-profit animal welfare organization in Puerto Peсasco, (Rocky Point) Sonora, Mexico. It is on the California Gulf coast, not from the U.S.A.
We are asking local government to stop the cruel and inhumane methods of killing and disposing of hundreds of stray dogs and cats and start respecting health department standards. We urge them to seek and accept help from organizations and neighboring towns and cities working for change and social progress.
We are asking local authorities to join us in coalition in adopting animal protection laws which are being proposed and passed in regions in the state of Sonora, Mexico.
Since the economy of Puerto Peсasco is heavily based on tourism and foreign investment, we are optimistic the government will feel the pressure and urgency to act quickly.
Together we can make strides in the laws on the treatment of animals that are in tune with social justice, humanity and nature. Please support us so that government authorities do whatever is necessary to pass an animal protection law.
