The respected site of GameTrailers.com,a site providing countless video reviews,trailers,gameplay videos and top10 countdowns posted in Aug 11,2006 a countdown featuring the top10 women in gaming.However they decided that the No1 spot to be taken by Samus(for everyone that doesnt know shes the character of Metroid,and i guess she's a girl...!)and made Lara No2.How they figured that i cannot tell.Lara Croft was the first worldwide regognised gaming idol,and was regognised even by people that didnt had a clue about gaming!Back on 1996/7/8 it was the hottest thing around and we cant forget that she made gaming on Pc worthy and also on the recently then released PS1 was the biggest title then and helped the console alot.Also it made alot of people making a note of the videogame industry then,and with the fuss around her name helped the gaming industry grow.And still we cant find a videogame girl that everyone worldwide knows that is "that girl from that game"! So everyone that grew up with Lara from her first game and knows the impact she
