Mel Gibson's Apocalypto

"F***ing Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world."
Gibson has claimed in the past that he is not an anti-Semite, and his apology following his arrest stated "[I] said things that I do not believe to be true and which are despicable." Despite these claims, it is widely accepted that something that is said by an intoxicated person, is how they truly feel.
In addition to this recent statement, Gibson's most successful film to date, "The Passion of the Christ," was considered anti-Semitic by many, even after Gibson denied it.
To show our disgust toward what Mel Gibson has said, and what the majority of those familiar with Gibson's actions and statements can assume about him, we ask Buena Vista Pictures Distribution to consider pulling Mel Gibson's Apocalypto from wide release (currently scheduled for December 8, 2006), and upon the refusal to do so, we shall not refuse to see it in theaters, as well as refuse to purchase any DVD release or other merchandise related to the film.
In addition, we will spread the word about Gibson's endorsement of anti-Semitism through his hateful words, and urge others to stay out of Apocalypto theaters as well.
We appreciate any response to this petition, and hopefully it will be one that is in favor of pulling Apocalypto from theaters.
