From the moment we are born, were programmed to discipline children simply by the fact how the adults, surrounding us during childhood years, treated us. Therefore when we sit upon a jury and hear about a child committing a crime our first and only instinct is to discipline that child. While jurors will take days to decide the fate of a grown man or woman, the child is doomed before the trial even begins. A trial, a fair trial, will never be in regards to the children for they will never have a jury of their peers.
We need to stop destroying the children and help those that cry for help. The cries are obvious but go unnoticed by the adults and their busy schedules today. We need to secure our future by helping the adults of tomorrow. The answer doesnt lie within the adult court system, but within us.
Please show mercy towards Cody. The system has failed him time and time again, don't let the jury's verdict fail him once more.
