New Motorsport Chanel for FOXTEL (www.autosports.com.au)

Due to the lack of televised motor sport, regional, national and international on both commercial and pay television, Autosports has decided to host a petition to send to the networks how much interest televised motor sport actually has within the community. There is so much material available from around the world that the Australian public is deprived from viewing, yet long to see such motor sport as WRC, F1, A1, BTCC, WTCC, all the local races like Sports sedans, Aussie legends, Lotus Trophy, Drags, Hill climbs, off-Road (Borneo, camel trophy etc) Rally, Porsches, improved production, indy, stock cars, salt lake racing the list goes on...



With less and less televised motor sport and with the removal of shows like Channel 10 Trackside, up and coming talent find it more difficult to secure sponsorship deals because of reduced exposure. This means less talent actually make it to the track and through the ranks, less armature motor sport, which ultimately could even affect the viability or motor sport complexes.
