No fees for Arsenal Football Clubs Disabled Fans

For as far as I can remember Arsenal Football Club has given their disabled fans free tickets to all home games. It has recently been brought to my attention that this will no longer happen when they move to their new stadium in Ashburton Grove. Arsenal Football Club will start to charge disabled fans 442.50 a season to attend home matches.

This is a diabolical movement on the clubs behalf. Disability payments from the government are only 160 a month, much less than most able bodied people earn. Many disabled fans are unable to work for a living meaning they may be forced to go without proper living requirements if they wish to continue attending home matches.

For the sake of just over 40,000, a fraction of the amount the current wage budget is, many supporters will not be able to attend home matches of the club they love so passionately.

Arsenal Football Club has always been a club with a tradition of having kind hearts and strong ethics. This movement indicates that this has changed.

With this petition I hope to urge Arsenal Football Club to come up with other means of attaining this money they apparently need so desperately they are charging disabled supporters.
